Although fall is not officially over, it certainly feels like winter is coming! From the crisp chill in the air the over the top holiday decorations, everyone is ready to celebrate the season!
We decided to combine some of our favorite cold weather ingredients to create our newest cocktail recipe. The Sage Advice.
For this recipe we created a simple sage infused syrup. It makes about 1 cup of syrup which you can save for up to 3 weeks.
For Sage Syrup-
1 cup water
1 cup honey
1oz fresh sage leaves
4oz sage syrup
1.5oz elderflower liquor
In a small sauce pot over medium heat - bring water, honey, and sage leaves to a boil to create the sage syrup.
Remove sauce pot from heat and let syrup mixture cool for at least 10 mins
In a cocktail shaker over ice - add 4oz sage syrup, bourbon, and elderflower liquor. Shake well.
Strain into a small martini or champagne glass
Garnish with fresh sage leaves and serve.
