December 4th is National Cookie Day!!! While we will be baking and sharing cookies recipes all month, today we decided to share one of our go-to favorites.

We find that many christmas cookies take a lot of time and patience from the decorating and stencils to the special holiday ingredients. This recipe however is EASY PEASEY, which is honestly what makes it our go to! Also, wait till you taste them! :)

  • 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rolled whole rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mini red and green M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 and take out butter to let it soften
  2. In a large bowl add butter, egg, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Slowly fold in the rolled oats, followed by the flour and baking soda
  4. Add in the chocolate chips and M&Ms
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  6. Using your hands or a cookie scoop, create little cookie dough balls and spread them out evenly (2 inches apart) on the sheet
  7. Place in the oven and bake for 11 mins
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 mins
  9. ENJOY!
