Beef Bourguignon is one of our favorite cold weather meals. And while it is not cold at all here in the Bay Area (85 degrees to be exact) this one goes out to all of our east coast friends! At least for now.

Loaded with beef and veggies and packed with rich layers of flavor, this french classic will not disappoint. From October to February, this recipe is perfect to get you through those chili nights.

Recipe: Shepherd's Pie

Happy New Year!!! It is officially January and the cold/rainy weather has really started to kick in (even out here in California). So, we are kicking off 2017 with a cozy and perfect winter weather dish - Homemade Shepherd's Pie. This recipe is inspired by our recent trip to Scotland (where Alec's family is from). Shepherd's Pie is a Scottish dish using lamb- not to be confused with "Cottage Pie" which uses beef. Historically, Shepherd's Pie was a meal thrown together using leftovers and whatever vegetables were accessible- so feel free to get creative and add in whatever favorite veggies you have at home. And because it is loaded with so many delicious veggies, this recipes can also be easily made into a vegetarian dish by simply removing the lamb and replacing the chicken broth with vegetable broth. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do! CLICK HERE FOR FULL RECIPE
