Winter Charcuterie Board

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been known to make a mean charcuterie board. While Alec creates 90% of the recipes we share, this is the one thing I am going to take 100% credit for. Mayyyybe it has something to do with the fact that I don’t have to actually cook anything and it’s really all about the styling (and of course the cheese).

Charcuterie boards are the staple to any gathering year round. My favorite part about them is that the possibilities are endless!

Recipe: Oatmeal M&M Christmas Cookies

December 4th is National Cookie Day!!! While we will be baking and sharing cookies recipes all month, today we decided to share one of our go-to favorites.

We find that many christmas cookies take a lot of time and patience from the decorating and stencils to the special holiday ingredients. This recipe however is EASY PEASEY, which is honestly what makes it our go to! Also, wait until you taste them! :)

Recipe: Chocolate Christmas Bark

December is finally here - our favorite time of year! We are excited to kick off the holiday season with some sweet crowd pleasing cheer.

Trust us when we say this bark is so easy to make but so hard to resist. Perfect for holiday parties or to give as a gift. Are we rhyming?? What perfect timing!  HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON Y'ALL!

Friendsgiving 2016

Welcome to our first ever blog post! We are excited to use this space as a way for folks to get to know us a little better.  I have a feeling everything we post will mostly revolve around food but let's be honest- what doesn't??  Now on to the post...

Our 2nd Annual Friendsgiving

Last night Alec and I hosted our second annual Friendsgiving. We started this little tradition last year by inviting some of our local friends over for a big dinner party the weekend before Thanksgiving.

It is the perfect excuse for us to cook our favorite fall foods, make delicious festive cocktails and more importantly; spend time with our dear friends before most of us go out of town for the holidays. Somehow we managed to pull off a full sit down dinner with 15 people in our cozy 350 Sq Ft living room.

Menu items this year included a homemade crab bisque, 3 cheese mac and cheese bake, pear and bacon brussels sprouts, caramelized onion and basil croustinis, and a slow roasted pulled pork (all recipes soon to follow) not to mention a charcuterie board that could feed an army.
