Recipe: Cereal & Milk Shakes (3 Ways)

HAPPY NATIONAL CEREAL DAY!

We love cereal. We love milkshakes. So we have joined them together for this perfect trio of Cereal Milkshakes.

At the grocery store we found that they separate the cereals into two sections "adult favorites" and "kids favorites". But let's be honest here, kid favorites- are EVERYONES favorites! Who says fun cereal is just for kids?  Sometimes Kashi and Special K just don't cut it- sometimes we just want to eat colorful, magically shaped, sugar coated goodness!  And so what if it turns your milk rainbow colored, that's the best part!

So let's all just admit that we love "kid" cereal. Go out and get yourself one of those assorted variety packs. Eat those Trix you Silly Rabbit!

For this recipe we used Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, and Honey Nut Cheerio's for the cereals and vanilla and chocolate ice cream as the milkshake base but feel free to get creative and use your favorite. And hey, if you want feel free to throw a little booze in there! After all, you are an adult...

Recipe: Boardwalk Style Fried Oreo

Happy National Oreo Day!

We have been talking about sharing our Fried Oreo recipe for quite some time but have been avoiding making them lately in hopes of sticking to our New Years resolutions for a healthier lifestyle. Then we decided, treat yo' self  it's National Oreo Day!

Fried Oreo's were always treats only to be found at The Boardwalk or a County Fair. Now, these delicious little devils have become so popular that we have started spotting them at some higher end restaurants.

Talk about a dream come true! Seriously, if this is something you haven't tried you need to drop everything and get to it! Really you can't go wrong with these suckers, they are perfection and such a crowd pleaser.

Recipe: Carrot Cake with Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting

Happy Baking Season!! Let me just say, I've always hated carrot cake. I've actually always disliked all kinds of cake besides cookie cake but let's be honest- that's just a giant cookie. So as you can imagine if I can't be convinced to enjoy chocolate cake it isn't likely that I will jump at the chance to eat a cake made of carrots! BUT GUYS- I've had a change of heart, or should I say change of taste? THIS recipe is the answer. This cake is so moist, perfectly spiced and the homemade frosting is everything. I'm pretty sure Alec will never let me forget the day he changed my mind about cake. For Full Recipe Click Here
