Beer Battered Onion Rings with Shake Shack Dipping Sauce

Shake Shack has been a favorite ours since 2007 when we were both living in NYC.

While there are a number of reasons they stand above the rest, their special sauce is a famous staple. Many recipe blogs have shared their versions and through much trial and error, we have created what we think is the best version!

Of course we didn’t forget about the onion rings. With only 4 ingredients , these circles of deep fried perfection are so much easier to make than you think! Did we mention they are beer battered?

Recipe: Beef Bourguignon

Beef Bourguignon is one of our favorite cold weather meals. And while it is not cold at all here in the Bay Area (85 degrees to be exact) this one goes out to all of our east coast friends! At least for now.

Loaded with beef and veggies and packed with rich layers of flavor, this french classic will not disappoint. From October to February, this recipe is perfect to get you through those chili nights.

Recipe: Shrimp Etouffee

You can make any weeknight dinner feel like a special occasion with Creole Style Shrimp Étouffée. We love this dish because it is so hearty and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of kick.

Étouffée is a french word meaning "smothered".  To make it, you literally smother the veggies and shrimp (or shellfish of your choice), with the rich creamy sauce

Recipe: Boardwalk Style Fried Oreo

Happy National Oreo Day!

We have been talking about sharing our Fried Oreo recipe for quite some time but have been avoiding making them lately in hopes of sticking to our New Years resolutions for a healthier lifestyle. Then we decided, treat yo' self  it's National Oreo Day!

Fried Oreo's were always treats only to be found at The Boardwalk or a County Fair. Now, these delicious little devils have become so popular that we have started spotting them at some higher end restaurants.

Talk about a dream come true! Seriously, if this is something you haven't tried you need to drop everything and get to it! Really you can't go wrong with these suckers, they are perfection and such a crowd pleaser.

ST LOUIS STYLE PIZZA RECIPE BY FRAME 2 TABLE

ST LOUIS STYLE PIZZA RECIPE BY FRAME 2 TABLE

Originally from St. Louis, Alec loves two things, the Cardinals and thin-crust pizza, STL-Style Pizza to be exact.  He always has said that no pizza compares. It drove me crazy for years trying to figure out what made this pizza so special.  A few months ago I finally got the chance to experience this magical mystery pizza I had heard so much about.  GUYS- It was so good that I couldn't believe I had missed out on it my entire life. Which is why we had to recreate it for anyone who has yet to try. Trust me, you don't want to go another day without this pizza in your life.

Recipe: Shepherd's Pie

Happy New Year!!! It is officially January and the cold/rainy weather has really started to kick in (even out here in California). So, we are kicking off 2017 with a cozy and perfect winter weather dish - Homemade Shepherd's Pie. This recipe is inspired by our recent trip to Scotland (where Alec's family is from). Shepherd's Pie is a Scottish dish using lamb- not to be confused with "Cottage Pie" which uses beef. Historically, Shepherd's Pie was a meal thrown together using leftovers and whatever vegetables were accessible- so feel free to get creative and add in whatever favorite veggies you have at home. And because it is loaded with so many delicious veggies, this recipes can also be easily made into a vegetarian dish by simply removing the lamb and replacing the chicken broth with vegetable broth. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do! CLICK HERE FOR FULL RECIPE
