Recipe: Creamy Spinach and Artichoke Pizza

March 16th is National Artichoke Hearts Day so we are excited to share our copycat version of a favorite recipe!

Before ever knowing one another, Alec and I lived a block apart in the East Village of NYC and had one special thing in common, an obsession for Artichoke Basille's Pizza.  For most New Yorkers, the obsession hits hard late night - perfect after a few drinks aka when you stop counting calories! The original Artichoke Pizza location opened on 14th street in 2008 and they now have 9 locations (8 in New York City, 1 here in the Bay Area!)

Apparently the recipe for Basille's signature artichoke pizza sauce takes 8 hours to make and is top secret. Ours takes about 30 mins and is not a secret!  We would feel too guilty keeping this recipe from anyone.
