Welcome to our first ever blog post! We are excited to use this space as a way for folks to get to know us a little better. I have a feeling everything we post will mostly revolve around food but let's be honest- what doesn't?? Now on to the post...
Our 2nd Annual Friendsgiving
Last night Alec and I hosted our second annual Friendsgiving. We started this little tradition last year by inviting some of our local friends over for a big dinner party the weekend before Thanksgiving.
It is the perfect excuse for us to cook our favorite fall foods, make delicious festive cocktails and more importantly; spend time with our dear friends before most of us go out of town for the holidays. Somehow we managed to pull off a full sit down dinner with 15 people in our cozy 350 Sq Ft living room.
Menu items this year included a homemade crab bisque, 3 cheese mac and cheese bake, pear and bacon brussels sprouts, caramelized onion and basil croustinis, and a slow roasted pulled pork (all recipes soon to follow) not to mention a charcuterie board that could feed an army.
As for entertainment- did I mention we had a real magician in attendance?? Nothing says Friendsgiving quite like some seriously mind blowing card tricks!
